  • We are seeking a Systems Accountant to be an integral part of our friendly and supportive team. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimising key financial systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial data and processes. This full time, permanent role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving process improvements and is based within our beautiful and pristine grounds in Nudgee.

About the role

In this unique role you'll acts as the key link between Finance, IT, and business users, providing system expertise, driving process improvements, and supporting reporting and compliance requirements and contributing to the values-based, and collaborative culture across Mercy Community.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll provide ongoing maintenance of Technology One Financials and Epicor Senior Living Solutions. This would include chart of accounts maintenance, first line functional support and system updates/upgrades (in conjunction with external consultants)

  • You'll be responsible for the administration of all modules in TechnologyOne and subsidiary finance systems from a business-as-usual perspective. This includes system configuration, XLOne reporting and ETLs

  • You'll identify and resolve system issues

  • You'll assist the Finance team in the research of financial record-keeping and reporting requirements and ensure systems are modified to meet these requirements

  • You'll participate in the evaluation, design, implementation, testing and delivering of appropriate reporting solutions within Mercy Community's business intelligence system and business context.

  • You'll identify improvement opportunities within finance systems that will enable the automation or streamlining of processes. Work with stakeholders to deliver the recommended solution

About You

You'll have

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline

  • Excellent understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of Technology One (including Financials, Purchasing, Enterprise Budgeting, ETLs, XLOne and System Administration)

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Good analytical skills with an ability to identify and solve problems

  • Ability to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels

  • Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card), Disability Services (Yellow Card), and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
