Tell me about this role:

Seeking a Cost Modeller with proven capability in developing and maintaining cost models for complex programs in accordance with Capability Costing Branch and the Integrated Investment Program. You will build and maintain through-life cost models to support procurement, investment decisions and value-for-money assessments.

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Build and maintain through-life cost models to support procurement, investment decisions and value-for-money assessments
  • Conduct scenario analysis, risk-adjusted costing, and sensitivity testing to inform strategic choices
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and audit requirements, providing robust evidence for approvals
  • Collaborate closely with finance, procurement, engineering and commercial teams to gather data and validate assumptions
  • Present cost model outputs in clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers

What sort of skills do I need?

  • Must have a degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analytics or related field
  • Must have experience in cost estimation / modelling methodologies
  • Understanding of Defence financial frameworks and investment processes
  • Hold a minimum NV1 clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
