Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Paraplanner to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting our advisors by crafting comprehensive personal insurance strategies, managing the advice process end-to-end, and ensuring compliance at every stage. You will be the technical expert within the group, driving quality and precision in all aspects of risk advice.

Qualifications & experience

  • You are ideally degree qualified, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the life insurance industry, with direct experience in Life, Disability, Critical Illness insurance (including both personal & business protection).
  • You are an experienced paraplanner and/or have recent and sufficient experience with enough knowledge to be considered a Life Insurance Subject Matter Expert.
  • You are an XPLAN CRM Subject Matter Expert with the ability to support all stakeholder requirements (including clients and staff) with relationship management and advice related processes/tasks including Risk Researcher, and advice preparation with and without XPLAN.
  • You are naturally detailed, curious, and analytic, with excellent written and verbal communication, and are comfortable taking initiative, and being accountable.
  • You want to make a difference in your role, client's lives, and ultimately in the insurance advice space.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Undertaking detailed analysis of clients' circumstances as a foundation to improve the input and outcomes as a result of the provision of personal life risk insurance advice.
  • Researching and preparing an in-depth analysis and comparison of clients' existing products with other products available in the market, with consideration of clients' current circumstances.
  • Using the combination of product research, client goals, needs and objectives, and your insurance knowledge to formulate and prepare strategies and recommendations for formal presentation.
  • Preparation of initial strategy papers, Statements of Advice, and Records of Advice.
  • Maintain, improve, and implement the processes and necessary documentation for the effective input of information for the advice process, ongoing safe and secure storage of client information, internal data integrity, and the output of accurate, relevant, and client-friendly advice documents.
  • Ongoing review and analysis of our advice process including developing and presenting strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Managing business improvement initiatives/projects originating from business analysis and reporting, process review, and stakeholder feedback (internal and external).
  • Supporting the operations and workflow of the client service and support team, including client interaction, communication, and relationship management, overseeing advice preparation, adviser support and administration.
  • Liaising with all stakeholders in the organisation, as a primary conduit for key/critical decision-making information related to the client journey and experience, including the initial advice and ongoing/retention processes.
  • Ensure all advice is delivered competently and in strict adherence to compliance requirements.
