Your new role
As a Senior Investigator within the department's enforcement team, you will lead investigations into potential regulatory breaches and recommend enforcement actions that uphold the integrity of the scheme. This includes preparing decision papers, managing legal briefs, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You'll work closely with divisional teams-Policy, Compliance, Audit, Engagement, and Registry-to ensure enforcement activities are aligned with broader program goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading investigations into regulatory breaches and recommending enforcement actions
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues within the enforcement team
- Developing and maintaining enforcement policies and procedures
- Gathering and analysing complex evidence to inform decision-making
- Drafting enforcement documents and preparing legal briefs
- Liaising with legal experts and managing external provider contracts
- Sharing insights across the division to inform compliance and regulatory strategies
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Investigator
- Strong writing, policy analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex legislation and apply it to real-world scenarios
- Experience in regulatory enforcement, investigations, or legal processes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- A delivery-focused mindset with resilience and adaptability
