We're not your average donut company.

At L.A. Donuts, we make bold, American-style donuts, pies, and desserts that have taken Sydney by storm — and we're now scaling up with new machinery, a growing team, and massive energy.

We're looking for a Part-Time Production Manager to oversee and streamline our production systems.

The Role

We're moving from traditional hands-on production to a semi-automated setup — and need someone who can:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee weekend production
  • Supervise and train production staff and machine operators
  • Implement and maintain SOPs for consistency, food safety, and efficiency
  • Liaise with weekend supervisors to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage inventory, quality control, and production costs
  • Troubleshoot process or equipment issues and coordinate maintenance
  • Report on yields, waste, and performance to management

You'll work closely with our directors and help lead the transition into a systemised, scalable production model.

About You

  • Experience in bakery, food manufacturing, or a commercial production environment
  • Comfortable with machinery and automated production lines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Able to train, motivate, and hold staff accountable
  • Understands the balance between quality, speed, and cost efficiency

Hours & Pay

  • Part-Time
  • Flexible schedule — may include early mornings or short weekend check-ins as required
  • Competitive pay ($40–$55/hour) depending on experience
  • Bonus potential for meeting production and quality KPIs
