The Role

As the Finance & Payroll Officer, you'll manage payroll from start to finish ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness while supporting the finance team with accounts payable, receivable, and general financial processes.

Your attention to detail, proactive communication and commitment to continuous improvement will make you the go-to person for payroll and finance queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand, including terminations, back pays, and reporting.
  • Maintain payroll data and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
  • Provide support and advice on employee pay and leave queries.
  • Manage AR and AP processes including invoice processing, reconciliations, and supplier management.
  • Follow up overdue accounts and liaise with customers to resolve queries.
  • Provide leave cover across finance functions and assist with ongoing process improvement initiatives.

About You

  • 2–4 years' experience in a finance and/or payroll position.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP desirable) and intermediate Excel skills.
  • High level of accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving capability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative, hands-on team player who takes ownership and delivers results.
