Overview

We're seeking an experienced telecommunications professional to establish and lead the retail arm of a new fibre network operator. This person will build our Retail Service Provider (RSP) operations from the ground up — covering regulatory setup, operational frameworks, system implementation, and commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Setup:

Oversee end-to-end setup of the retail business, including ACMA, TIO, and TCP Code compliance, as well as Privacy Act and consumer protection obligations.

Operational Readiness:

Develop and implement the RSP's operating model, policies, and customer support processes to ensure technical and commercial launch readiness.

Systems Implementation:

Lead selection and rollout of OSS/BSS systems for billing, provisioning, and customer management.

Commercial Strategy:

Define service offerings, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies for retail fibre products.

Wholesale Integration:

Work closely with the wholesale arm to onboard other RSPs, negotiate access agreements, and align product/technical interfaces.

Vendor & Partner Management:

Manage relationships with technology vendors, billing providers, and infrastructure partners.

Experience & Background

  • Proven experience in establishing or operating a Retail Service Provider (RSP) within the Australian telco market.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications regulatory frameworks (ACMA, TIO, TCP Code, Privacy Act).
  • Demonstrated experience with OSS/BSS systems, provisioning, and customer lifecycle operations.
  • Commercial acumen in developing broadband product portfolios and managing wholesale relationships.
  • Experience in startup or greenfield telco environments highly regarded.
