What is our Senior Occupational Therapist role?

Provision of advanced occupational therapy services to consumers of the Community Mental Health Service, working in the Assessment and Treatment Team. Functions as a case manager undertaking clinical assessment of an allocated case load of consumers with a mental illness. The Senior Occupational Therapist will contribute to the development and monitoring of occupational therapy services and rehabilitation programs, initiate quality improvement practices and implement changes and improvement for the mental health service. The Senior Occupational Therapist is an expert occupational therapy resource and will provide consultancy and education for the multidisciplinary teams and other agencies and stakeholders.

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
