The Role

We're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to join our General Counsel & Risk Office as Director, Enterprise Risk. This newly created senior role offers the opportunity to shape and lead our enterprise risk and resilience agenda, working closely with the General Counsel and senior stakeholders across the firm.

As Director, Enterprise Risk, you will:

  • Lead the risk team and develop a proactive, enterprise-wide risk management strategy aligned to the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate complex risk events with a focus on strategic foresight and value creation.
  • Design and implement crisis and resilience strategies to ensure firm readiness for critical incidents.
  • Report to the Audit & Risk Management Committee (ARMC) and prepare high-impact communications for executive audiences.
  • Oversee assurance frameworks, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with the AML Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with the AML/CTF regime.
  • Support the General Counsel in maintaining an appropriate insurance program.
  • Champion the adoption of systems and tools—including AI—to enhance risk insights and decision-making.
  • Lead training initiatives and embed a risk-aware culture across the firm.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and influence change across the legal and consulting businesses.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years' senior leadership experience in enterprise risk management, ideally within professional or financial services.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, risk, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications desirable.
  • Deep expertise in risk frameworks, policy development, and enterprise risk profiling.
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and interdisciplinary thinking.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform risk strategy.
  • Understanding of insurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to influence across diverse interests and drive alignment with strategic priorities.
