Enterprise Risk Frameworks and Strategy

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to shape our enterprise-wide risk frameworks and standards. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to governance, culture, and strategic resilience.

This role involves delivering enterprise-wide risk frameworks, policies, and appetite statements, working closely with the CEO, Board, and senior executives to embed lasting value and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop, embed, and oversee enterprise and operational risk frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • Lead the design and roll-out of the risk appetite framework and statements.
  • Conduct risk maturity assessments and drive capability uplift across the business.
  • Provide second line oversight and challenge to ensure alignment of risk activities with strategy.
  • Deliver executive and board-level reporting and support ad hoc regulatory requests.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Management and Governance: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact our organisation's objectives.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop, review, and update risk-related policies and procedures to ensure they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular risk reports to senior executives and the Board, as well as communicate risk-related information to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, IT, or related field.
  • At least 8 years' experience in risk leadership, preferably in a mature and highly regulated organisation.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise risk frameworks and strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO31000, COBIT, and APRA/ASIC-aligned frameworks.
  • Executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
