An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and results-driven professional to join our CVS team as a Sales Manager – OE Trailer & Aftermarket, based at our Darra facility. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage business activities across the OE Trailer and Aftermarket segments, driving the profitable application of brake products, brake system technologies, and digital solutions. Your focus will be on maximising the integration of Knorr-Bremse products and services per vehicle, while delivering value to both OEM and aftermarket customers.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage Knorr-Bremse Australia's CVS business for OE Trailer and Aftermarket segments in alignment with company objectives and defined KPI's.
- Oversee task allocation, KPI setting, training, and professional development for direct reports.
- Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports in accordance with company guidelines.
- Drive sales growth across assigned channels by maximising KB product content, market share, and profit margins to meet sales targets.
- Negotiate, implement, and manage formal agreements and contracts in line with company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within assigned OE Trailer and aftermarket channels.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the CVS Strategic Plan.
- Lead the commercial management of projects related to new or next-generation technologies for trailer OEM's.
- Manage sales forecasting and material planning to support business objectives.
- Oversee pricing strategy and ensure product margins align with CVS business targets.
- Take responsibility for managing the New Zealand Trailer and Aftermarket business.
- Build and enhance relationships with key internal stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of commercial vehicle braking and air suspension control systems.
- Actively participate in internal collaboration and reporting as a member of the CVS Australia leadership team.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as directed by the General Manager.
Professional Experience and Educational Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred.
- Alternatively, candidates with extensive technical sales experience in the commercial vehicle industry may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams, including setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and fostering skills development.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Key Account Management and Business Development, ideally within the Commercial Vehicle or similarly technical industry.
- Proven experience in product pricing, price maintenance, and margin management aligned with strategic targets.
- Strong background in STRAP planning, sales forecasting, and reporting to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
- Track record of successfully negotiating and managing formal agreements and contracts in line with company standards.
- Experience in commercial project management, particularly in implementing new or next generation technologies for Trailer OEMs.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and collaborate effectively with intercompany stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
- Familiarity with digital solutions and brake system technologies is highly desirable.
