Are you a skilled professional with expertise in building and construction and ready to share your expertise? We're seeking contract trainers to deliver high quality training across the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction and the CPC50320 Diploma of Building and Construction (Management).

MBAV is a member focused organisation for the building and construction industry, committed to promoting excellence through education, advocacy, and industry support.

Position Overview:

We are looking for experienced contract trainers to deliver engaging and industry relevant training for a range of units across the Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications. The successful candidates will bring a strong industry background, a passion for adult education, and a commitment to helping students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging training that aligns with the learning outcomes of units of competency.
  • Utilise extensive industry experience to provide practical insights and real-world examples during training.
  • Assess students' competency and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate closely with MBAV team members to ensure training materials and delivery methods meet industry standards and learner needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of training, student attendance, and assessments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive industry experience in building and construction, ideally with supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Utilise extensive industry experience to provide practical insights and real-world examples during training.
  • Hold the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction and/or CPC50320 Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) or their equivalent.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult students.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of training, student attendance, and assessments.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in various information technology applications, especially the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Proven capability in initiating, cultivating, and sustaining relationships. Willingness and capability to motivate and empower individuals to reach learning outcomes.

Additional Information:

  • This position is offered on a contract basis.
  • Training may be conducted at MBAV's training facilities, on-site, or via online platforms as needed.
