We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Data Tester
to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our data-centric features—particularly those around
reporting, analytics, learning progress tracking, and compliance records
. You'll be instrumental in validating how learning data is captured, stored, transformed, and reported across the platform.

  • Location: Sydney only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate data accuracy and integrity across modules such as reporting, compliance tracking, and event attendance.
  • Test data pipelines and workflows that drive custom reports, learner analytics, and compliance dashboards.
  • Work closely with product, data, and QA teams to define test scenarios and edge cases related to student learning data.
  • Write and execute
    complex SQL queries to validate backend data against front-end reports and dashboards.
  • Validate data syncing between modules (e.g., attendance to compliance records, learning modules to reports).
  • Automate testing
    of commonly used datasets using tools like Python or data validation libraries.
  • Support the QA team in manual and automated testing of learning pathways, progress tracking, and event scheduling.
  • Report defects and inconsistencies, and verify fixes across multiple test cycles.
  • Participate in sprint planning and contribute to test strategy discussions for data-centric features.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in data testing,
    data QA, or BI validation, preferably in SaaS or EdTech platforms.
  • Strong
    SQL skills and experience validating relational data.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like
    Postman (for APIs), Selenium.
  • Understanding of data visualization/reporting tools (e.g.,
    Power BI, Tableau, or in-platform reporting
    ).
  • Knowledge of data flows in LMS or CRM systems is a strong plus.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify subtle data discrepancies.
