We're seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value Defence programs. The ideal candidate will come with a strong understanding of IT communications systems.

About The Role
Reporting to the Program Director, you'll oversee all aspects of project delivery - from planning and budgeting to risk management and stakeholder engagement. You'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage technical work packages, and ensure delivery excellence across scope, schedule, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive project execution, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads to manage system builds, integration, and rollout activities.
  • Oversee risk, schedule, and contract compliance aligned with ASDEFCON and ICAO standards.
  • Lead project forecasting, reporting, and change management activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic program development.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing complex technical or IT Defence projects.
  • Sound understanding of systems engineering, integration, and delivery practices.
  • Strong grasp of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls.
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Eligibility for Australian security clearance (NV1 or higher desirable).
  • Familiarity with ASDEFCON and ICAO frameworks advantageous.
