Brisbane, Queensland, Australia LifeFlight Full time

About LifeFlight
LifeFlight Australia is a leading aeromedical organisation dedicated to saving lives through rapid response medical services. Operating a fleet of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, LifeFlight delivers critical care and emergency retrievals across Queensland and beyond. In addition to its lifesaving missions, LifeFlight runs a world-class training academy, equipping aviation and medical professionals with the skills needed for high-pressure environments. Our mission is to provide the highest standard of care and make a real difference in the communities we serve.

About The Role
Are you an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on role? We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Storeperson to join our team at LifeFlight's Heavy Engineering and Maintenance base at Archerfield.

This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 6am and 6pm. Your manager will confirm your actual working hours. You'll enjoy variety in your week, with the opportunity to work on a rotational basis supporting our remote bases. Occasional weekend or on-call work may be required to meet operational needs.

Your Key Duties Will Include
Stores Operations & Inventory Control:
Conduct goods inward processing. This includes accurately identifying, packaging, and storing parts in the appropriate bonded, commercial, hazardous, or quarantine areas. You'll also maintain accurate inventory records, complete regular cyclic stocktakes, and monitor stock levels to ensure critical parts are available while minimising excess inventory.

Parts Handling & Distribution:
Accurately picking, issuing, and delivering aircraft parts and materials to support maintenance activities. This includes picking, packing, and dispatching parts to bases and repair facilities within required timeframes, while ensuring all aeronautical products are accompanied by the correct release documentation and traceability records.

Purchasing & Order Support:
Assist the Purchasing team with urgent AOG requirements to ensure parts and materials are sourced and delivered promptly. You'll also support the procurement of stock items below min/max levels, create and process repair and consumable GSE orders accurately, and coordinate with suppliers to confirm deliveries, ETAs, and documentation.

Freight, Returns & Documentation:
Process exchange orders and manage the timely return of cores to vendors, while tracking back orders and delivery shortfalls to ensure quick resolution. You'll also maintain accurate and up-to-date data in Gannet to support efficient purchasing and logistics tracking.

Process Improvement & Compliance
: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardisation across stores activities. You'll also ensure all storage, packaging, and handling practices comply with OEM, regulatory, and CFQ requirements, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.

Safety, Housekeeping & Teamwork
: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment while monitoring shelf-life items to ensure proper rotation and disposal of expired stock. You'll also work collaboratively with the logistics, procurement, and engineering teams to support smooth operations and achieve shared outcomes.

About You
You'll bring previous experience in a logistics role, ideally within the aviation industry or have a strong background in all aspects of logistics such as procurement, inventory control, and material handling.

To be successful in this role, you'll need the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a stores position within an aviation stores department.
  • Proven experience in dangerous goods storage and handling.
  • A solid understanding of aviation inventory and purchasing procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer software, including MS Office.
  • A current Forklift Licence.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A Certificate in Dangerous Goods by Air (Acceptance).
  • Certificate in Aviation Logistics - Goods Receipt and Dispatch (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Warehousing & Logistics or equivalent (desirable)
