The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and emerging leader to join our Maroubra Medical Centre as an Assistant Practice Manager, reporting directly to the Practice Manager. This role offers a valuable steppingstone for individual looking to build a career in healthcare management.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy, multi-disciplinary medical centre, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality service to healthcare professionals and patients. This position provides entry level exposure to operational leadership, compliance, and service excellence in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily administrative tasks including banking, patient billing, and updating systems.
- Fostering professional working relationships with team members, patients and medical staff
- Support the Practice Manager with operational tasks and ad hoc duties
- Manage opening and closing procedures for the Medical Centre
- Maintaining compliance with organisational policies and procedures

To excel in this role, you'll possess:
- Previous team leadership experience within a customer service environment
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Pracsoft/MedTech advantageous
- Excellent time-management skills and multi-tasking abilities
