We're looking for a talented Manufacturing Equipment Technician to join our Industrial Engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and competent assembly, testing and commissioning of production equipment and to provide a timely and effective response to maintenance and calibration requests.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the Production equipment
  • Prepare maintenance and calibration plans and manuals
  • Define spare parts and ensure stock levels are set
  • Provide a timely breakdown service
  • Review breakdowns and modify equipment and processes appropriately
  • Provide Production with equipment for use in the manufacture of WSS and subsequent products
  • Liaise with users and vendors to specify and procure all parts necessary to complete the rig construction
  • Organise with mechanical and electrical technicians/contractors to construct the rigs to the commissioning stage
  • Liaise with Process engineering to ensure trouble free commissioning and handover
  • Liaise with Process Engineering specialists and Production users to continually improve to improve yield and output

Education and necessary skills

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of production maintenance, calibration practices and reliability engineering principles
  • Experience developing and executing preventative and corrective maintenance plans, including documentation of procedures and manuals
  • Clear and concise documentation, reporting, and handover skills.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, reliability-centered maintenance, and/or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 5S)
