Ksubi is looking an experienced Garment Technician on an 8 week contract to support our Production team in our Rosebery office, Sydney.
As a Garment Technician at Ksubi, you will be responsible for driving and maintaining the correct quality standards for your remit, delivering consistent fit and manufacture across categories and taking full ownership for meeting and exceeding deadlines to ensure on time delivery of finished goods.
**A Day in the Life**
- Interpreting designs and developing accurate specification sheets
- With a strong understanding of denim garments, patternmaking, grading, washes and finishes you will communicate any issues prior to handing over tor sampling
- Fit garments in line with critical path dates and ensure all comments are communicated clearly to suppliers
- Working in conjunction with Design, Product development and production to meet all timelines
- Creation of accurate specs with relevant garment construction, measurements, and fit details to technical specs
- Support and provide information on garment fit, construction and fabrics at all stages, from handover and sampling process
- Communication to be clear to all internal and external parties
**This is you if you have**
- Qualification in QA fashion/garment technology and/or work experience in a related industry
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as Garment Tech or similar
- Sound knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading
- Sound understanding of the commercial denim production process as applied in a retail environment
- Prior experience and working knowledge of successful retailers or wholesalers
- Sound business acumen with strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to an environment promoting success
