Our client is seeking experienced field technicians to provide assistance on drilling programs and exploration activities that cover - Minerals and Gold Exploration. The roles are FIFO and DIDO and are Project based.  Must be available ex Townsville. Mineral experience ideally.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Core-orientation and core cutting
  • Assist with set-up of drill rigs on drill site and any other set-up site requirements.
  • Capture accurate field data
  • Conduct exploration fieldwork as directed.

About you

You will be a self-starter with plenty of enthusiasm. You will be an individual with excellent communication, problem solving and planning skills.

To be successful in this role, you must have and satisfy the following requirements:

  • ­ Current Driver's License - Open Manual
  • ­ Being willing to work and travel away from home
  • Experience in Core Orientation and Core Cutting
  • ­ Demonstrated experience and skills in the safe operation of equipment & vehicles (including ATVs)
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Defensive 4WD Driving Course.
  • Some technical geological knowledge would be an advantage
  • Experience in  - mineral exploration.
  • Demonstrated 1+ years' relevant industry experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience with drill rigs
  • Full work rights in Australia (no sponsorships).
