ABS Service Solutions is a family owned Electrical, Refrigeration and Air conditioning company, consistently delivering a diverse range of service, repair and maintenance solutions to public and private sector clientele.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join our service team.

This is a diverse position where you will be responsible for service, maintenance and repairs across a range of domestic/commercial clients within private, corporate and government indoor/outdoor facilities.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your duties will encompass servicing a high quality and varied clientele base.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Breakdown service, fault diagnoses, repairs, testing and commissioning. of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Ensure a continual high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Quality workmanship while maintaining company standards and safety
  • Perform repairs, servicing and general maintenance
  • Provide technical support to a broad range of clients at professional level
  • Provide training and support to apprentices
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Perform duties in and around the Townsville North Queensland area

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate for this position will be a passionate and results focused service technician, who has experience in servicing domestic/commercial clients.

The key to success in this position is excellent technical skills accompanied by a strong service ethic with good written and verbal communication skills; the following skills and attributes are highly considered.

  • Good all-round knowledge to work on wide variety of refrigeration and AC systems
  • Relevant licenses: Drivers License, ARC, Electrical Restricted, White Card, First aid
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience in domestic/commercial fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Industry Standards
  • Understanding of Safe Work Practices, OHSE Procedures
  • Willingness to adhere to site appropriate procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong sense of initiative, ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess confidence in personnel skills to make decisions
  • Be committed to a long term career
