The opportunity:

As our High Voltage Electrician - Substation Trade Technician, you'll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with down-to-earth people who you're proud to work with and get to know.

On a technical level, you'll carry out maintenance, repair, construction, and operation of transmission substation plant and equipment in line with standards and procedures. You'll also investigate faults, provide feedback to stakeholders, and look for opportunities to improve efficiency and processes for the benefit of the wider organisation.

The people you'll join:

Based in Gladstone or Townsville, you will join our Field and Asset Management Team, working within Substation Delivery and report to our Substation Section Team Leaders within the Field Delivery Group, you'll join a highly skilled team dedicated to the operation of Powerlink's high voltage substation network.

What you'll bring:

The demonstrated ability to maintain, construct and operate substation equipment rated up to 330 kV. A background in safely maintaining, constructing and operation of High Voltage electrical substation equipment with a Transmission, Distribution or large-scale Contractor organisation

• Qld Electrical Fitter / Mechanic licence
• Current LVR & CPR Certification
• High Risk Work Licence - Elevated Work Platform

• A current 'C' Class drivers licence

• The ability to travel frequently to remote substations across Queensland, and work closely with team members, you also will enjoy variety in your work
