We're seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead to provide technical expertise, leadership, and a results-driven mindset on a high-profile 18-month fixed-term contract based in Perth, Western Australia.

This role will include an even-time roster of 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off during the offshore phase expected to commence at the end of October – giving you balance while contributing to a world-class project.

About the Role

Take the lead in safely planning, coordinating and executing commissioning activities for a major offshore project. As Commissioning Lead, you'll drive operational readiness, ensure compliance with industry standards, and oversee the seamless transition from construction to full-scale operations.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead commissioning teams with a strong HSE focus.
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and resources.
  • Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and handover to operations.
  • Ensure design, engineering, and contractual documents address commissioning needs.
  • Define and coordinate subcontractor, vendor, and offshore workforce scopes.
  • Supervise commissioning procedures, performance tests, and operating manuals.
  • Manage completion systems, handovers, and punch list closure.
  • Track progress, report against plans, and resolve technical issues.
  • Align onshore and offshore activities to ensure seamless execution.
  • Contribute to project cost, schedule, and manpower planning.
  • Prepare final reports, certificates, and documentation.
About You

We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements:

  • Tertiary or trade qualification; Project Management training desirable
  • 12+ years' oil & gas experience with strong hook-up and commissioning background
  • Proven track record on Australian and Asia-Pacific projects with strong HSE focus
  • Skilled in cost, schedule control, and commissioning software/tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be based in Perth, WA
