Introduction:

Powertech Resourcing is a multidisciplinary commissioning organisation providing services to the energy and resources sectors throughout Australia.

Due to continued growth and expansion in the business, we are currently taking applications for Leading Hand Electrical Commissioning Technician's - with Isolation experience to join our clients team in the Oil and Gas industry.

Details:

  • Role - Leading Hand Electrical Commissioning Technician
  • With Electrical Isolation Authority experience - Responsible for performing isolation verifications and implementation and hands on Electrical Commissioning works as required.
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: 10 months' work
  • Roster: 2x1 (travel in on first & out on last day of swing)
  • Hours per day: 10.5
  • POH: Perth – however we will cover flights from any capital City in Australia

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for performing isolation verifications and implementation
  • General function test
  • Protection relays
  • SIS/ICS, inputs and outputs to MCC cubicles, inter-trip signals between LV and LV circuit breakers, etc.
  • Battery autonomy record sheets
  • Battery charge / discharge record sheets
  • Lighting circuits record sheets
  • Switchgear operation and switching
  • Voltage and frequency control
  • Active and reactive load sharing between microgrid systems (PV (simulated) and BESS)
  • BESS management (charging and discharging rates)

Experience, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • WA – Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A-Grade)– Requirement
  • Cert III or IV Instrumentation – Requirement
  • Trade Certificate – Requirement
  • CPR / LVR certificates – Requirement
  • First Aid – Desirable
  • HV Switching Certificate
  • Previous Hydrogen project exposure desirable, but not essential
