The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you
will lead the company's technology, digital, and data strategy. You will steer the transformation of IT from a service provider into a strategic function - integrating digital commerce, customer experience, and analytics to deliver measurable business outcomes.

As CIO, you will combine deep technical acumen with strong leadership and emotional intelligence to foster collaboration across all business units. You will inspire a high-performing team and ensure that technology investments enable sustainable growth, efficiency, and customer value.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: develop and execute a forward-thinking ICT and digital strategy aligned with business goals, commercial growth, and customer engagement.
• Digital Transformation: lead the design and delivery of a digital commerce roadmap, enhance omnichannel customer experiences, and improve ERP (Pronto) functionality through smart applications.
• Data & Analytics: champion the use of data analytics, business intelligence, and AI to enable insight-led decisions and drive productivity.
• Cybersecurity & Governance: oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and risk management to ensure reliability, compliance, and resilience.
• Leadership & Culture: build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, customer-centric IT team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Business Partnership: act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and ELT, translating complex technology concepts into clear business outcomes and value creation.
• Financial Management: manage IT and digital budgets, ensuring sound investment decisions and measurable ROI across digital and transformation initiatives.

Your Profile

You are a strategic, people-focused technology leader with a proven record of delivering digital transformation in complex, multi-site or distribution-based environments. You thrive on building alignment between business goals and technology strategy and translating ideas into impactful results.

You bring:

• Proven success as a CIO, IT Director, or Head of Technology in wholesale, retail, or supply-chain-based organisations.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business.
• Deep experience leading digital and data transformation — including ERP/CRM integration, e-commerce, and analytics.
• Strong background in ICT governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
• Commercial acumen and the ability to turn technology investments into business value.
• A collaborative, values-driven, and adaptable leadership style.

Desirable:

• Experience with AI, automation, or digital supply chain initiatives.
• Background in privately owned or family-operated businesses.
• Experience with Pronto ERP
