- **About the Role**_
Our organisation is currently seeking for devoted and experienced **Canteen Manager **to join our growing team in Huntleys Point on a **Permanent Part-time basis **. The role involves implementing strategic business practices and policies to ensure the success of our canteens. Our operations run for **40 WEEKS per year**, following the school calendar, and employee salaries are in line with the fast food industry award hourly rates.
- **Key Responsibilities include**:_
- Planning, organising, and monitoring the day to day operations
- Daily food preparation
- Manage and train canteen staff
- Assist in over the counter service during breakfast, recess and lunch.
- Use of the Flexischools online ordering system to download the orders.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Provide a high standard of customer service by assisting students, teachers and other customers in food selection.
- Stock control
- Other duties as required.
- Reliable, punctual and honest.
- Previous experience working in school canteens is ESSENTIAL
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates understanding of healthy eating and ability to prepare, cook and promote healthy foods.
- Employees are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is a must.
Please note this role will be commencing on the **28th of January 2025**
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
