Join us as a Graduate Materials Engineer and become a key player in our Division Technology team In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with our Alloys and Elastomer R&D teams, contributing fresh ideas to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions.
As part of our Graduate Program, you'll rotate through a variety of six-month placements over two years, gaining hands-on experience in metallurgical and elastomer projects that drive our company's growth and keep us ahead of the competition. Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Operational: Assist in project design and development. Conduct research and analysis. Delivery of laboratory services to Alloys and Elastomer R&D teams. Conduct test and inspections to ensure the quality and functionality of engineering solutions. Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation.
- People: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients. Seek and act on feedback.
- Compliance & Accreditation: Support the teams responsible to ensure that the technology / products can meet industry standards and regulations.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
Education and / or Experience:
- Bachelors in a Science or Engineering discipline (Materials, Metallurgy) and fewer than two years of work experience.
- The ability to develop engineering judgment and maturity by being exposed to a variety of work environments and task challenges.
- Ability to seek, accept and benefit from advice from mentors and more experienced colleagues.
- Proven project management skills.
- Clear presentation skills (using PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
