Midfield Commodities is a privately owned and operated Meat Import/Export Company, which is a division of the Midfield Group of Companies.

We are seeking a Company Accountant to join our Finance & Administration team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in managing general accounting functions, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and job. This is a diverse and hands-on role offering exposure across all areas of financial management.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:


• Prepare monthly financial reports, KPIs, reconciliations;


• Assist with cashflow forecasting and management;


• Manage month-end processes, journals, accruals, prepayments, and payroll reconciliations;


• Administer GST and other statutory returns;


• Maintain the balance sheet, and bank account reconciliations;


• Liaise with external stakeholders, banks, and accountants;


• Accounts Payable/Receivable and broader Payroll.

What You'll Bring:


• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline;


• Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial/accounting role;


• High attention-to-detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills;


• Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB) and Microsoft Office;


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, while also supporting a team environment;


• Foreign Currency accounting experience highly regarded
