About the role

Are you an experienced architecture graduate looking to take the next step in your career? Fraser & Partners' is seeking talented young designers to join our dynamic team in our Brisbane and Gold Coast offices.

Working as a core part of a project team, you have a unique opportunity to be involved at all levels of the project process. In our studio, hierarchy is dismissed, and creative collaboration is at the core of our everyday. You will take part in professional work, exercise your best judgment, and apply your initiative in the application of architectural principles, techniques, and methods. You will provide an essential team role, supporting and learning from more experienced professionals and participating as a brave contributor to a project team.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the Project team in the development of the Brief and undertake the project per Brief
  • Develop design options in collaboration with the project team
  • Prepare, develop, and edit drawings, schedules, and models accurately by F&P Standards with supervision
  • Contribute to the research and analysis of project requirements, site conditions, and design considerations
  • Support the project management process, including coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Participate in design reviews to showcase your work
  • Continuously learn and expand your technical and design skills

What we're looking for

  • Professional qualification as an Architect or equivalent overseas qualification
  • 4-6+ years of postgraduate experience
  • Proficient knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation and construction methods in Australia
  • Developed knowledge of relevant programmes used in practice (Revit, Autodesk, Adobe required | Rhino or 3DsMax is a plus)
  • Demonstrates advanced technical ability, feasibility, and efficiency in the use of building systems and materials
  • Capacity to operate independently, prioritise and resolve routine problems
  • A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English - spoken and written
  • Recognised or developing skills in the area of expertise
