Exciting opportunities are available for a Senior Paralegal (Grade 05/06) within our Department of Customer Service (DCS) Legal Division.
The DCS Legal team supports a range of portfolio business clients including Building Commission NSW, Digital.NSW, NSW Fair Trading, NSW Telco Authority, the Principal Department, SafeWork NSW, Service NSW, and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).
As a Senior Paralegal, you will be working in an interesting and fast paced legal services environment, joining a passionate, motivated, and engaged group of professionals providing independent, professional legal advice and legal services on a broad range of matters to a diverse client base. The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience working in an administrative or paralegal role in an in-house legal team.
There are a number of ongoing and temporary full-time employment opportunities in a vibrant and supportive team. A talent pool may be created for future opportunities.
- Remuneration of $99,938 - $110,271 plus superannuation & leave loading, commensurate with experience.
- Based in Sydney CBD with flexible arrangements available.
The professional in this role will need to:
- Provide a range of senior paralegal functions to support the efficient operation of Legal services, including general administrative support, to optimise efficiency and support the delivery of business outcomes.
- Work in collaboration with junior and senior solicitors to support processes including matter management, reporting and precedents. The role may include legal research and drafting, preparing and collating briefs and other material, assisting with subpoenas and other requests for documents, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Act as point of contact with key customers and stakeholders by responding to enquiries and providing information and advice in an effective and responsive manner to support the on-time delivery of services.

- You will have relevant experience and/or qualifications.
- You will be a team player who is able to hit the ground running and a person who thrives working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. You will understand the demands of supporting a diverse legal team.
- You can work independently where appropriate, are client focused with an ability to develop practical innovative solutions. Your role will be integral in supporting the effective operation of our Legal team.
- You will have strong analytical ability, lateral thinking, and problem-solving skills in addition to excellent communication skills and a strong ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
