The Position

St Margaret's Berwick Grammar seeks a transformational and aspirational leader to join the School as Vice Principal. This pivotal role will be ideal for an individual who aspires to become a Principal in the near future and will contribute to the strategic direction and operational excellence of the School. Leading initiatives in teaching and learning, the Vice Principal will ensure that educational standards continue to be met and improved, while also fostering student and staff wellbeing and strong community relationships. Based primarily at the boys' campus in Officer, the Vice Principal will lead initiatives across all campuses.

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Vice Principal will oversee a broad portfolio including teaching and learning, student wellbeing, co-curricular programmes, and organisational leadership. The role includes strategic oversight of global citizenship initiatives and established partnerships with national and international universities. The Vice Principal will work closely with a strong team including the Head of Students and Operations, Heads of Students (Berwick and Officer), and other senior leaders to foster a culture of professionalism, care, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will hold a Masters degree or higher and bring extensive experience from high-performing schools. A relational leader with outstanding communication skills, the appointee will demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, and a passion for education. The Vice Principal will be a visible presence in the School community, presenting at assemblies and speech nights, and nurturing deep relationships with students, staff, and parents.
