Deputy Principal

With the retirement of our outstanding Deputy Principal at the end of this year, St Leonard's College seeks to appoint her successor.
The College vision is to provide our 1,680 students with an education for life. Our students thrive in an environment that builds character, and that encourages them to take responsibility for their own learning and for the contribution they can make to the world. Academic excellence sits alongside superb cocurricular programs and extensive opportunities for leadership. Students' wellbeing is nurtured in a caring, supportive environment and our closely connected community provides a sense of belonging. Located in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton, our campus has exceptional learning facilities.
While the College is flourishing on all fronts, through continuous reflection we seek to explore areas in which we can continue to enhance the experience of our students. We look to the future and to global best practice.
Working closely with the Principal and College Executive Team colleagues, the Deputy Principal is pivotal in enabling us to realise our aspirations. They will collaborate closely with the four Heads of our sub-schools, ensuring that we have a strong and age-appropriate continuum running through the College. Major areas of focus will include continuing to build the capacity and capability of our dedicated staff, and ensuring that the wellbeing and safety of all in our community remains front and centre.
As the sole Deputy for the College, our next Deputy Principal will be involved across the school, from ELC to Year 12, in strategy, operations and governance, as well as deputising for the Principal. They will be part of a high performing team and have extensive opportunities for personal professional growth.
