What You'll Be Doing

As an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or Health Worker in Palliative Care at Moree Community Health, you will provide holistic, culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting patients and families through grief, loss, and end-of-life care
- Delivering care that prioritises comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Consultants, allied health professionals, and medical staff, to ensure patient-centred, culturally responsive care
- Contributing to clinical care within your scope of practice, and helping shape services to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Building strong, trusting relationships with patients and families for continuity of care

Who You Are
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice)
- Current authority to practice as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner with AHPRA
- Deep understanding of culturally safe care, particularly in palliative and end-of-life settings
- Respectful communicator, able to confidently engage with clients, families, and team members
- Collaborative team player, contributing to holistic care plans while practising within your scope

- Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
