About the roleA little more about the role
  • Contribute to the projects led by the Climate Adapted and Water Sensitive City team, that reduce the risk of climate change to the City of Melbourne.
  • Work with designers, project managers and asset managers to implement a new Sustainable Assests Policy.
  • Manage and deliver projects aligned with City of Melbourne's Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Municipal Integrated Water Management Plan.
  • Foster relationships and networks that support the work of the team and Branch.
About youWhat you will bring to the role
  • Knowledgeable and have an understanding of climate change adaptation, water or sustainable urban renewal/infrastructure or related field.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in environment, sustainability, public policy, science, or business related field or equivalent level of experience.
  • Experience in supporting delivery of sustainable outcomes either within an organisation, through influencing stakeholders or through developing and implementing strategic solutions.
  • Prior project management capability including demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget, and to balance and respond to competing priorities
  • High level in written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including negotiations and influencing skills.
