About the School / Centre
The Student Life Directorate delivers services and evidence-based programs for current students that aims to contribute to improved health and wellbeing; as well as supporting students to succeed in their higher education studies. The Directorate has three major teams focused on (1) Health and Wellbeing; (2) Students course advice, course progress and success; and (3) Student Transition & Engagement. The Directorate focuses on taking a person-centred approach when engaging with students; collaboration across Schools and Directorates and continuous quality improvement to make a transformational and meaningful impact on students experience at university.
The Student Hub team is responsible for providing quality and timely advice to students who attend in person and have general and course advice enquiries. The team also responds to escalated Tier 3 digital enquiries and provides support to Schools for relevant administrative processs related to the academic program and needs of students. Collaboration across all University student service points is a major requirement, as is the implementation of a seamless student experience strategy alongside excellent customer service standards.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and student-focused individual to lead the operations of our Student Hub. As the Manager, Student Hub, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating day-to-day activities, ensuring seamless delivery of student services, and fostering a welcoming and efficient environment for all students.
This role is responsible for overseeing the resolution of tier 1 and 2 face-to-face enquiries, managing escalated tier 3 issues, and ensuring the provision of accurate and timely course advice. You will work closely with academic Schools to deliver high-quality administrative support and contribute to continuous improvement in student experience. In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Student Hub.
- Lead the team responsible for managing and responding to student enquiries across all tiers, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Ensuring the provision of expert course advice and support to students.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Schools and other key services areas to support students to enrol and progress through their studies.
- Monitor service delivery standards and implement improvements where necessary.
- Supervise and support Student Hub staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

- Proven experience in student services or a similar administrative environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional student experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of university systems and processes is highly desirable.
