Health Science Hub (RTO is looking for new team members who are interested in working in the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector.

We can only consider applicants with:

  • A completed undergraduate degree in Biology/Animal Science or similar.

We are looking for people who want to start or continue their career in education. The role will be training a class of secondary school students (Year 11 & 12) in the 22582VIC Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation (Marine & Terrestrial Biology). The right candidate must be able to work with this age group.

We are looking for additional trainers for our Bunbury Campus during school terms 1, 2 & 3 for 1 to 2 days per week (Thursday or Friday).

An advantage would be for you to already hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (TAE40122), however, we would be willing to train the right person to attain this qualification over time. Professional development and on the job training & mentoring is provided for successful candidates who are new to VET but have have Industry experience and skills.

The right candidate will have the following:

  • Be comfortable in front of students and display the confidence to explain and deliver the required content.
  • Ability to run practical activities that engage students in the qualification content.
  • Ability to understand the qualification assessments to ensure assessments can be explained accurately, linked to the content and guidance can be provided.
  • Work within a team as well as autonomously.
  • Manage change and contribute to continuous improvement.

Have the ability to use technology in the classroom. This includes:

  • Learning Management System (LMS)
  • eLearning and online assessment.
  • Tablets, Laptops, and AV display devices.
  • Various apps.

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 14 per week
