About the role
Lead the development and delivery of high-quality, professional economic analysis and advice to support rigorous, evidence-based business case development for current and future school infrastructure.
This position will require you to provide expert advice across the business and requires extensive experience in economics and the preparation of high-quality cost benefit analysis. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential as you'll be working within a small team with 2 direct reports, as well as with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation. Success in this role requires an analytical mindset, the confidence to constructively challenge assumptions, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing our talented team.

About you -
- Extensive experience in the provision of specialist, expert advice and/or quantitative analysis, including cost-benefit analysis (CBA)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical mindset
- Confident decision maker
- Ability to prioritise and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
