Are you an experienced project leader with a background in client-side building construction and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure outcomes? We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to take the reins on complex projects and drive them from concept to completion.

You'll manage end-to-end project delivery with a focus on quality, compliance, stakeholder satisfaction, and value-for-money outcomes. This is a strategic role where your leadership, technical knowledge, and business acumen will directly influence the success of major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Prepare comprehensive project management plans, select delivery methodologies, assess risks, and manage lifecycle considerations.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, approvals, and WHS standards.

Consultant Procurement & Management:

  • Prepare project briefs, consultant tenders, and terms of reference.

  • Ensure design aligns with project intent, statutory requirements, and cost-effectiveness.

Contractor Procurement & Delivery:

  • Develop tenders for traditional and D&C contracts aligned with Australian Standards.

  • Act as Principal's Representative and Contract Superintendent.

Professional Expertise:

  • Draw on your experience in managing capital works and upgrades from a client-side perspective.

  • Apply your knowledge of construction law, industry practices, and stakeholder roles.

Business Acumen & Communication:

  • Prepare project reports, manage stakeholders, and achieve time/cost/quality targets.

  • Track profitability, manage approvals, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor internal and external teams across multiple projects.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior project managers.

 
What You Bring:

  • Qualifications in building construction or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing client-side construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract law, and design/construction processes.

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to lead by example.
