Are you an experienced Head Chef with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences in an educational setting? We are seeking a visionary and hands-on leader to oversee all aspects of culinary services at Ravenswood, ensuring high-quality dining experiences for students, staff, and guests.
This role goes beyond kitchen leadership—it's about creating memorable, nutritious, and innovative menus, mentoring a high-performing team, and ensuring top-tier food standards in a dynamic residential college environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all culinary operations at Ravenswood, ensuring excellence in quality, nutrition, and presentation.
- Develop seasonal and innovative menus, catering to diverse dietary needs and modern food trends.
- Mentor and develop a strong kitchen team, fostering a culture of training, growth, and succession planning.
- Maintain strict compliance with HACCP, OH&S, and food safety regulations.
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and procurement strategies to optimize financial performance.
- Work closely with school leadership and engage with students and faculty to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Lead sustainability initiatives and champion locally sourced, ethical ingredients.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a large-scale hospitality or education-focused environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
- Experience in menu planning for large-scale, residential-style dining operations.
- Deep understanding of food safety compliance and workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to innovate, problem-solve, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
