About Us:

Global Communication Services (GCS) specialises in communication and data systems, including underground radio and automation solutions, equipment repair, and spare parts for mining, heavy industry, commercial, and retail sectors. GCS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australian-owned and operated Hahn Electrical Contracting.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Administration Assistant to join our Kalgoorlie-based team. This is a hands-on, full-time role that offers more than just sitting at a desk — supporting our socials, managing office supplies, reception, mobilisation and keeping the office running smoothly.

A Certificate III in Business or Accounts Administration traineeship is available for the right candidate after a qualifying period.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Welcoming visitors and answering incoming calls (reception cover)
  • Processing Sales
  • Booking flights and accommodation and processing site clearances.
  • Typing and formatting documents
  • General data entry and admin support across all departments
  • Restocking office and kitchen supplies
  • Managing Socials
  • Coordinating internal events and supporting social functions
  • General housekeeping to keep the office neat and well-organised
  • Filing, scanning, photocopying, mail handling, and more

What We're Looking For:

  • A proactive, reliable and organised team player
  • Friendly and professional presentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to pitch in wherever needed – this is a hands-on role
  • A current driver's licence

Bonus points for:

  • Previous admin experience (even part-time or school-based)
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
