We are offering you the chance to build a career within the production sector of the mining industry as a Truck Driver or Truck Driver Trainee at our iconic KCGM Superpit. Here's what awaits you:

  • Operating CAT 793 and 777 Haul Trucks in the Open Pit, working in conjunction with PC 8000 Face shovels, Excavators and Loaders, to fulfil production requirements in a safe and reliable manner.
  • Operating Haul Trucks across various areas of the NSR-KCGM site, including the Fimiston Open Pit, Rehandle Ore Delivery area and other trainee-related activities to build your familiarisation to operating in a mining environment.
  • Safely operating a variety of mobile dump trucks to transport ore and waste to designated areas to achieve production targets in the mine,
  • You will also display behaviour consistent with our Northern Star Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect and Results, looking to work with the business for the long-term, and be an integral part in its future growth and development

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Qualifications:

  • Current unencumbered "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual or Automatic).

Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn,
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts with a repetitive workload,
  • Physically fit and hold a valid WA Drivers Licence
  • You must reside in the Goldfields region for this Residential opportunity.
  • Ability to provide a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical
