Food Service Assistant - Casual

Westmont Aged Care Services is a not-for-profit organization operating a 134 bed residential aged care facility incorporating dementia care, assisted living apartments and independent living villas. Located in Baranduda, we pride ourselves on our exceptionally high standard of health and wellbeing, cleanliness and holistic care. We are seeking a food service assistant to join our busy and dedicated hotel services team on a casual basis.

Responsibilities:

Food Service Attendant assist in preparation, presentation and delivery of food and beverages in accordance with Facility Food Safety Policies. They also maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping floors, and setting up dining rooms.

All team members will be required to:

  • Maintain a clean, pleasant, and safe working environment for residents, staff, visitors and contractors.
  • Undertake training and development in order to enhance or broaden skills and experience as required. Undertake duties as required commensurate with skills, competence and development.
  • Various shift times are required

Minimum Criteria:

  • Casual availability with weekend availability would be an advantage
  • A current food safety certificate
  • Must obtain a valid Police Check
  • COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate outlining Full vaccination is required inclusive of a third/booster vaccination dose, as well as a flu vaccination.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
  • Genuine interest in working with and caring for elderly people
