About the business

Westmont Aged Care Services is a not-for-profit organization operating a 134 bed residential aged care facility incorporating dementia care, assisted living apartments and independent living villas. Located in Baranduda, we pride ourselves on our exceptionally high standard of health and wellbeing, cleanliness and holistic care. We are seeking a cleaner to join our busy and dedicated hotel services team on a casual basis.

About the role

Westmont operates 365 days a year and provides cleaning for residents bedrooms and bathrooms, public areas, recreation and function centre, apartments and cottages.

The Cleaning attendant is responsible to provide cleaning services which contribute to a safe, clean, home like living environment for residents and staff. These responsibilities include, mopping and vacuuming floors, damp dusting, waste management, restocking of supplies. Assisting with laundry practices as required, following and maintaining infection control practices.

The Laundry attendant is responsible for the provision of laundry services according to infection control and laundry practice standards and the making of beds for the Homestead.

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Previous experience laundry practices;
  • Hotel/Motel cleaning services;
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical handling and manual handling principles;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment or on your own;
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills;
  • Use initiative to problem solve and enhance work experience;
  • Have the ability to work over a 7 day roster.
