The Opportunity:

The Complex Living Intake Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping each participant's first experience of Supported Independent Living (SIL) at Claro. This position ensures every SIL transition is thoughtful, safe, and genuinely person-centred, combining clinical oversight, compatibility assessment, and workforce readiness to create living environments where people feel secure, respected, and empowered to thrive.

You will champion Claro's commitment to dignity, choice, safety, and genuine connection, ensuring new clients begin their journey feeling welcomed, understood, and confident in their home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end SIL intake and onboarding process for individuals entering Complex Living supports.
  • Conduct clinical, behavioural, and environmental assessments within SIL settings to determine readiness and suitability.
  • Develop holistic SIL Support Plans that integrate clinical needs, daily living goals, behavioural supports, cultural considerations, and lifestyle preferences.
  • Ensure SIL onboarding processes align with AHPRA standards, NDIS Practice Standards and Claro's Clinical Governance Framework.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to deliver adult-learning–focused training tailored to SIL environments.
  • Ensure CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) awareness and culturally responsive practice are integrated into SIL planning and workforce development
  • Develop professional onboarding and induction resources that support consistent SIL practice and long-term workforce capability.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, families, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals, and SIL teams.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration/Strong clinical risk assessment capability
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments (clinical, behavioural, environmental) and translate findings into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in Supported Independent Living or complex disability environments
  • Strong support needs, risk judgment and SIL operational knowledge
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Skilled in assessing compatibility for shared living arrangements
  • Experienced in workforce training and adult learning methodologies
  • Demonstrated commitment to dignity, choice, safety, inclusivity, and person-centred practice
