The Venue
Open from lunch through to dinner, Soluna dining and bar is the perfect local spot for family get-togethers, relaxed meals, and catch-ups over drinks. The approachable food menu offers a great mix of Mediterranean-inspired snacks, pizzas, and grill-style mains. The large dining space spans inside and out, with a separate lounge and bar area, making Soluna a high-volume, social hub complemented by the diverse cuisine of the Mediterranean.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate Pizza Chef who takes pride in traditional pizza-making - hand-rolling dough, fermenting, stretching, topping, and firing pizzas from scratch. This is not a role for shortcuts; we're looking for chefs who can bring authentic craft, consistency, and quality to our pizza offering.
As part of a new opening, you'll play a key role in setting kitchen standards, ensuring a consistent, well-executed product, and fostering a supportive, high-performance kitchen culture.
Responsibilities
- Executing and supporting the pizza menu creation for our new Mediterranean concept
- Preparing and hand-rolling dough, sauces, and toppings from scratch to ensure quality and authenticity
- Supporting the Head Chef with seasonal pizza menu development
- Managing kitchen standards, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Assisting with supplier relationships to source the best quality ingredients
- Training, mentoring, and developing junior team members in authentic pizza-making techniques
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-3 years' experience as a Pizza Chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong skills in dough preparation, fermentation, hand-stretching, and pizza-making from scratch
- Proven ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Experience training or mentoring junior chefs is highly desirable
- A passion for quality, authenticity, and personal growth
