This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time or Fixed Term appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
The Industrial Relations team focuses on interpreting employment terms and conditions and managing the contractual relationship between WACHS and its employees. This may be through supporting negotiations and resolving industrial disputes in compliance with labour laws, regulations, and policies. The Industrial Relations Consultant acts as a subject matter expert in the team, providing their specialised knowledge and experience to influence and guide informed decisions.

This recruitment process is designed to identify a body of suitable industrial relations practitioners at the following levels:

Industrial Relations Consultant
– Level G6 or G7

Senior Industrial Relations Consultant –
Level G8

Eligibility to Apply:
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Please note this recruitment process requires completion of satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA). Any offer of employment with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is conditional on satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position. Position Profile: (G6-8)
This position is responsible for providing an industrial relations consultancy service specific to WA Country Health (WACHS) whilst ensuring a consistent approach across the WA health system.

(G8 additionally)
Undertakes representation and advisory services on industrial and workplace relations matters. Contributes to the development and implementation of strategies to manage high-risk health workforce issues. Provides support and direction to other staff within WACHS.
