Q H & M Birt Pty Ltd (QBirt) is a leading civil construction contractor, operating one of the largest civil earthmoving fleets in Australia. We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters, Trade Assistants & Servicepersons to join our team for an exciting new project commencing at Fimiston in Kalgoorlie.

Position Details:

  • Roster:  2:1 FIFO or Residential
  • Employment Type: Full-time, permanent roles
  • Package Includes: Flights (from major capital cities), accommodation, and meals provided
  • Additional Benefits: Accrued annual leave and a generous loyalty bonus after 12 months of continuous service

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and complete tasks in a safe manner
  • Be able to work alone and within a team environment
  • Conduct maintenance and servicing of heavy equipment to ensure reliability and uptime
  • Perform repairs in line with OEM specifications
  • Ensure all work is efficient, safe, and compliant with company policies
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain fleet performance

Essential Diesel Fitter Requirements:

  • Trade qualification (Diesel Fitter or equivalent) with proven industry experience
  • Experience with leading brands like CAT, HITACHI, or Komatsu
  • Strong communication and basic computer literacy
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Must be able to pass a police background check

Essential Serviceperson/Trade Assistant Requirements:

  • Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Must be able to pass a police background check
