This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the built environment, delivering spaces that are innovative, commercially sound and aligned with our long-term vision.
In this role, you'll lead the full development lifecycle from feasibility and site acquisition through to design coordination, construction, and handover. You'll work in close collaboration with our in-house design team, consultants, contractors and executive leadership to ensure our concepts are brought to life with integrity, quality and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent development projects across Australia, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, brand standards, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with internal design and placemaking teams to refine project concepts and uphold design excellence throughout the development process
- Conduct and manage site feasibility assessments, acquisitions, planning submissions and approvals, and early stakeholder engagement
- Drive project budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial reporting to ensure optimal commercial outcomes
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, local councils, and statutory authorities to ensure timely and compliant project delivery
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks while seeking opportunities to enhance value, design quality, and customer experience
- Deliver regular progress reports and strategic insights to senior leadership, keeping key stakeholders informed and engaged
What We're Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience in property development or project delivery, ideally across retail, commercial, or mixed-use environments
- End-to-end project management experience across all phases of development, from site acquisition to handover
- Knowledge of retail and commercial leasing, including negotiation and management of Agreements for Lease and Lease documentation
- Experience navigating authority approvals, including Development Applications (DAs), Complying Development Certificates (CDCs), and interactions with regulatory bodies such as the Heritage Council
- Strong skills in design and delivery management, including consultant coordination, construction oversight, programme control, and budget management
- Solid understanding of Australian planning systems, construction regulations, and building codes
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget while maintaining design and brand integrity
- Strategic mindset with a passion for placemaking, customer experience, and high-quality built outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to influence, negotiate, and manage diverse stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in Property Development, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline
