As a Maintenance & Facilities Planner, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and long-term infrastructure planning for Return-It's national network of depots and return vending machines. Your work will ensure that our locations remain safe, compliant, and aligned with organisational and sustainability goals.

This role plays a key part in the development and execution of strategic asset plans while ensuring operational uptime, cost efficiency,  and compliance with regulatory standards. You'll work closely with contractors, internal stakeholders, and vendors to drive continuous improvement across equipment and facilities.

About the role:

  • Develop and implement strategic equipment and facilities management plans.

    Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all sites.
  • Manage maintenance and operations budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee infrastructure upgrades and drive energy and waste efficiency initiatives.
  • Optimise space utilisation across depots and facilities to support operational goals.
  • Monitor and report on performance against KPIs including uptime, turnaround times, and compliance.

About you:

  • Experience in maintenance or asset management within a distributed or multi-site environment.
  • Previous experience with MEX or similar CMMS highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of WHS and environmental compliance obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and external service providers.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in analysing maintenance and performance data.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, facilities management, operations, or a trade (preferred).
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites as needed.
