About the role

Join our highly successful team at Pan Macmillan Australia as a part-time Sales Representative based in Perth (4 days per week).

As the company's Perth representative, you will play a crucial part in driving sales for our new titles and bestselling backlist. With a focus on delivering exceptional service and achieving sales targets, you will be an integral part of our established Australian sales team.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive support for our bestselling local and international lists
  2. Implementing effective displays and promotions for key titles across bookshops and mass market retailers
  3. Gathering valuable customer feedback and providing weekly reporting on your activities

What we're looking for

  1. Experience as a publisher's sales representative, or in a retail environment such as bookselling
  2. A passion for books and the ability to pitch and an eye for strong visual merchandising
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships
  4. A self-motivated and results-driven approach, with a focus on achieving sales targets
  5. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
