ABOUT THE ROLE

Don't want to be stuck behind a desk? Have a passion for trucks, vehicles, machinery and equipment? We are looking for a reliable, customer friendly and fast learning individual to join our Operations team at our branch in Darwin, 0821. Working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week), this role would suit an entry level candidate who is interested in and has basic knowledge of trucks, machinery and equipment, or someone who has experience in a similar role or industry. In this hands-on role, your key responsibilities would include:

• Booking in a range of assets by taking photos, entering descriptions and details onto our user-friendly auction system
• Assist other team members with their duties when required
• Locate, move (sometimes using a forklift), and record the movements of all assets
• Conduct daily prestart forklift checks, weekly detail and maintenance checks, and complete forklift logbooks to ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner
• Load/unload trucks of assets efficiently to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner.
• Assist with the preparation of the weekly auction
• Maintain a safe work environment and following all WHS policies and procedures

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Current & valid drivers' license with ability to drive manual (essential)
• Current forklift licence
• Attention to detail
• Competent verbal & written communication skills
• Basic computer skills/ability to use an iPad
• Ability to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team

The successful candidate must be willing to work occasional overtime on weekdays where required.
